Maha Kumbabishekam will be organised on a grand scale at the historic Sri Kaleshwara Sri Mukteshwara Swamy temple in Kaleshwaram from February 7 to 9, 2025, Jayashankar Bhupalpally District Collector Rahul Sharma said.
The Collector chalked out the arrangements for the ensuing mega-religious event with the officials concerned in Kaleshwaram on Friday.
He also reviewed various development works taken up in Kaleshwaram in view of the ‘Saraswati Pushkaralu’, slated to be held in the famous pilgrim centre from May 15 to 26, 2025.
The mega river festival is scheduled to be held once in 12 years at the confluence of three rivers — Godavari, Pranahita and subterranean Saraswati — the sacred place, popularly known as Triveni Sangamam.
The Collector asked the officials to work in tandem to complete the development works related to modernisation of bathing ghats and approach roads in a time-bound manner in strict adherence to the stipulated standards for providing better amenities to the pilgrims visiting Kaleshwaram.
