Ramgarh: An outreach team from Punjab Regimental Centre (PRC) in Ramgarh was dispatched to Jammu and Kashmir, Punjab, and Himachal Pradesh by PRC commandant Brigadier Sanjay Chandra Kandpal to address concerns of former servicemen and war widows at their residences under the oversight of Jharkhand and Bihar Sub-Area of Army.
The outreach team, launched on Army Day, will visit 10 districts across three states. These include Jammu and Kathua in Jammu & Kashmir; Chamba, Nupur and Bilaspur in Himachal Pradesh; and Pathankot, Tarantaran, Muktsar Sahib and Bhatinda in Punjab, according to a PRC statement.
PRC commandant Brigadier Sanjay Chandra Kandpal noted that this initiative, which began in 2023, marks the Army's third successful effort to assist former servicemen and war widows.
