Ranchi: State's land, revenue and registration's department is mulling to roll out QR code to enable people to download challans and receipts related to their lands, mutation, and file online taxes.
Departmental minister Deepak Birua on Thursday said the move would help people, who often face harassment while visiting concerned offices and department's for their land related works.

"I have suggested officials to bring land-related tasks, including mutation, under the Right to Service Act. Officials should work towards completing these tasks on time to provide better services to the public and increase govt revenue," he said, after presiding a meeting with the divisional commissioners and departmental officials.
He added, "People have to visit courts and offices for basic work like getting a receipt for their own land. We will soon launch barcode facility to ease the process. People will be able to get their land receipts via mobile."
The minister also took cognizance of around Rs 2,000 crore dues pending from companies in East Singhbhum district. He ordered officials to ensure recovery to increase the state's revenue.
He also directed officials to curb encroachment on govt land. "Encroachment along the Harmu river have led to choking of the waterbody. This should be addressed by launching joint action along with the departments concerned," he added.
