Actor Saif Ali Khan, who was attacked during a burglary at his Bandra residence, is currently recovering in the ICU at Lilavati Hospital. In an official statement, the hospital confirmed that Saif underwent a successful surgery to address a wound and stop spinal fluid leaking. The surgery also involved removing a portion of the knife that had remained lodged in his body.
Doctors have stated that Saif is out of danger and responding well to treatment. He will remain under observation in the ICU for a day before being shifted to a regular ward.

According to Dr Niraj Uttamani, the Chief Operating Officer of Lilavati Hospital, Saif was brought to the hospital around 3:30 AM after sustaining six stab wounds, two of which were deep. One of the injuries is reportedly near his spine. Saif is currently undergoing surgery, which is being led by a team of doctors, including Neurosurgeon Dr. Nitin Dange, Cosmetic Surgeon Dr. Leena Jain and Anaesthesiologist Dr. Nisha Gandhi.
Meanwhile, Kareena Kapoor Khan arrived at the Lilavati Hospital to meet her husband and actor Saif Ali Khan post his surgery. For the unversed, a robbery attempt occurred at Saif and Kareena‘s Mumbai residence on Thursday morning and Saif Ali Khan sustained several stab injuries.
Saif Ali Khan was then taken to the Lilavati Hospital by a friend and his son, Ibrahim Ali Khan. Saif’s health was closely monitored by experts and the actor then underwent surgery. Kareena Kapoor was seen arriving at the hospital on Thursday afternoon to check on her husband.
On the work front, Saif Ali Khan last impressed fans with his role in Devara: Part 1 which marked his Telugu debut. Janhvi Kapoor and Jr NTR played key roles in the film which was directed by Koratala Siva. Up next, he has Jewel Thief in his kitty, alongside Jaideep Ahlawat. The film will be released in 2025.
