Deputy chief minister’s mother dies at 89

Bhubaneswar: Lobhabati Parida, the mother of deputy chief minister Pravati Parida, died on Thursday aged 89. Family sources said she suffered from age-related ailments and was receiving treatment at a private hospital in Cuttack. Chief minister Mohan Charan Majhi expressed condolences and posted on X: "I am saddened and deeply moved by the news of the passing of the Deputy Chief Minister's mother, Lobhabati Parida.I offer my condolences to the bereaved family and pray for the departed soul's peace. May the Almighty grant her a place in heaven."
