PUNE: The Adventures Beyond Barriers Foundation (ABBF), in collaboration with the Pune chapter of Social Venture Partners (SVP) India, is set to host Run InSync, a unique sporting event fostering disability inclusion and accessibility. Scheduled for Saturday, February 8, 2025, at the Savitribai Phule University Campus, the event aims to bring together 5,000 participants, including 1,000 persons with disabilities (PwDs).

The event offers a truly inclusive experience, with PwD participants paired with two “allies” to ensure support and accessibility throughout the 3K, 5K, or 10K running categories. This initiative, aligning with SVP Pune’s 10th-anniversary theme of celebrating diversity, seeks to foster empathy and understanding while breaking barriers surrounding disabilities.

A Unique Collaboration for Change
Run InSync is a milestone initiative driven by ABBF, a non-profit organization led by Divyanshu Ganatra, India’s first solo blind pilot and an advocate for adventure sports and inclusion. Supported by SVP Pune, which has been impacting grassroots organizations since 2014, the event demonstrates a commitment to making Pune and India more inclusive.
