Bollywood actor Saif Ali Khan was attacked during an attempted robbery at his Bandra residence in Mumbai during the early hours of January 16. The actor sustained serious injuries and was rushed to the hospital, where he underwent surgery. Now, Taimur Ali Khan’s former nanny, Lalita D’Silva, has expressed her deep concern about the incident, highlighting its emotional toll on Saif’s young children.
Speaking to Pinkvilla, Lalita D’Silva said, “I am feeling very bad, and it is unbearable for me to imagine how Taimur and Jeh will be feeling at this point, especially Jeh, who is so young." She added, “They must have got really scared. I am feeling very anxious about this whole incident and firmly believe that the culprits must be punished. I haven’t been able to speak to anyone from the family yet, but I wish and pray that they are all safe."

Following the attack, Saif Ali Khan underwent surgery and was moved to the ICU for observation. Dr. Niraj Uttamani, Chief Operating Officer of Lilavati Hospital, provided an update, stating that a 2.5-inch knife piece was successfully removed from near Saif’s spine. Dr. Uttamani also confirmed that Saif is recovering and that decisions regarding further treatment would be made soon.
During a press briefing, officials revealed that CCTV footage captured the suspect using the building’s staircase during the attack. Ten police teams have been deployed to investigate the incident. Authorities have confirmed that the attack was an attempted robbery, and a case has been registered at Bandra Police Station.
Meanwhile, Team Kareena Kapoor Khan issued a statement addressing public concerns. They confirmed that Saif had sustained an injury to his arm and was undergoing treatment. The statement reassured fans that the rest of the family was safe and in good health.
