Dharwad: Bharateeya Shikshana Prasara Samiti and Rashtrotthana Sahitya will organise ‘Kannada Book Festival' in the city from Jan 17 to 19, said Rashtrotthana School secretary Raghavendra Ambekar. Speaking to media persons here on Thursday, he stated that the event will commence at 10.30am on Jan 17 at Nivedita Adarsha Balika High School in Ramanagara.

Noted publisher MA Subrahmanya will inaugurate the event, and former MLC Arun Shahapur will be present. After the inaugural session there will be an interaction with authors followed by cultural and dance programmes . On Jan 18, Hindustani classical vocalist Kumar Maradur will present a musical recital and on Jan 19, a ‘Taala Maddale' performance will be held. Over 10,000 books will be available for sale and exhibition across 45 stalls from 10am to 8pm, he added.
