True Beauty Star Cha Eun-woo Reflects On His Iconic Roles: 'I Live As The Character For Almost Half A Year'
ASTRO star Cha Eun-woo looked back on his past characters and described them as his "friends".
ASTRO’s Cha Eun-woo recently made waves by gracing the cover of a major magazine, where he discussed his dual career as both a singer and actor. In an insightful interview, the True Beauty star reflected on his personal growth and journey within the entertainment industry. Currently filming for the Netflix series The WONDERfools, Eun-woo fondly recalled the various characters he’s portrayed, describing them as “friends" who have been by his side throughout his twenties, leaving a lasting impact on him. The K-pop idol also spoke about the growth he’s experienced over the years, noting how each role and experience has contributed to his evolution. Grateful for the opportunity to end each day on a positive note, Eun-woo expressed his appreciation for the lessons learned along the way.
In an interview with Elle Korea, Eun-woo talked about the impact of the young characters he has brought to life in shows such as My ID is Gangnam Beauty, True Beauty, A Good Day to Be a Dog and Wonderful World. He said, “You could say they are my friends who spent my 20s with me. They are also the roots that made Cha Eun-woo who he is today. When I act, I live as that character for almost half a year, so I have a lot of influence on them. On the other hand, I think those friends are also influenced by me as a person."

Looking back at his 9-year long journey in the entertainment industry, Cha Eun-woo shares, “I’ve been running hard while trying to do well in the things given to me, and it’s amazing how time has passed like this. I definitely feel that valuable experiences are accumulating inside me. I always go to sleep thankful that I can finish today well, and hoping that tomorrow will be the same. I always try to believe in myself and move forward flexibly."
Sharing his excitement about working on his upcoming series The WONDERfools, Cha Eun-woo revealed that he’s putting in a lot of effort and dedicating himself fully to the filming process. He teased that the audience can expect to see a different side of him in this project, showcasing new facets of his talent and character.
The upcoming series also stars Park Eun Bin, Kim Hae Sook, Choi Dae Hoon, Im Sung Jae and Son Hyun Joo.
