Saif Ali Khan Once Slammed Paps For 'Barging Inside' His Mumbai Home, Said 'Security Guard Is Not...'
An attempted robbery occurred at Saif Ali Khan's Mumbai residence on Thursday.
With the recent attack on Saif Ali Khan during an attempted robbery at his Mumbai residence, the matter of a celebrity’s security has once again come into question. Constantly being in the public eye has become a safety concern for many celebs. This was also highlighted by Saif last year when he condemned the shutterbugs for entering his building premises with many cameras.
In March last year, Kareena and Saif were returning home when the paparazzi started following them on their way to their building. When they wouldn’t stop following the couple, an upset Saif quipped, “Aap ek kaam kariye, humare bedroom main aa jaiye (Do one thing, come inside our bedroom also)." Despite Saif’s remark, the photographers kept following the couple till Saif shut the building door.

Later in a statement, Saif Ali Khan clarified his bedroom remark and stated that the security guard is not at fault as the paps must learn boundaries. Saif said in his statement, “We cooperate with the paparazzi all the time and we understand but outside the house, outside the gate, otherwise, where does one draw the line? That is why I made the comment about the bedroom because they had already crossed one line, so how many lines does one have to cross before it’s utterly ridiculous."
“The building security guard is not being sacked, it is not his fault and neither is anybody taking legal action against the paps because that is not how we want to do things. However, the fact is that they did barge inside the private property through the gate, past the security guard and completely invaded our space and put 20 cameras and lights on us as if it’s their right to do that, and this is wrong behaviour and everyone needs to be in limits," his statement also read.
Meanwhile, for the unversed, an attempted robbery took place at Saif Ali Khan and Kareena Kapoor’s residence in Mumbai. As per the police, the incident occurred in the early hours of Thursday. Saif Ali Khan sustained multiple stab wounds during an altercation with the thief and is currently being treated at the Lilavati Hospital. Officials have reached Saif’s residence for further investigation. No arrests have been made yet.
