Hubballi: Members of Samasta Go-Bhakta Pariwar Hubballi on Wednesday organised a protest rally condemning the incident of miscreants severing the udders of three cows in Bengaluru.
The Chamarajpet incident shows the mental sickness of miscreants. It is an assault on the sentiments of crores of Hindus. Such assaults should be ended at the earliest. The Anti-cow Slaughter Act should be implemented effectively in the state. Miscreants, irrespective of their caste and religion, should be punished severely, the protesters said after submitting a memorandum to the governor and chief minister.
Merely registering a case is not sufficient. Such anti-social elements should be prosecuted seriously so that no one dares to involve themselves in such assaults in the future. Failing to do so, we, Hindus, will have to give a strong reply, they said.
Gurusiddha Rajayogindra Mahaswamiji of Moorusavir Math; Basavalinga Swamiji of Gavimath, Navalgund; Basavalinga Swamiji of Rudrakshi Math, Hubballi; Basavannajja Swamiji of Kundagol; Krutatmanandaji of Chinmaya Mission; Ramgopal Das of Iskcon, Hubballi-Dharwad; Mata Tejonandamayi of Sri Matashrama; organisers Bharati Patil, Vijay Kshirasagar, Sunil Kattimani, among others, were present.
