The Congress released its third list of 15 candidates for the upcoming Delhi Assembly elections after Central Election Committee meeting on Tuesday (January 14, 2025).

The Grand Old Party has fielded former Union minister Krishna Tirath from Patel Nagar, councillor Ariba Khan from Okhla, Harbani Kaur from Janakpuri and Jitender Solanki from Vikaspuri.

With this list, the Congress has declared 63 candidates for the elections to the 70-member Delhi Assembly.

Besides Ms. Tirath and Ms. Khan, the Congress’ latest list includes Dharam Pal Lakda from Mundka, Rajesh Gupta from Kirari, Kunwar Karan Singh from Model Town, Prem Sharma from Hari Nagar, Harbani Kaur from Janakpuri and Mange Ram from Palam.

Addressing his first public event in Delhi, Congress leader Rahul Gandhi on Monday trained his guns on Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) national convener and former Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, blaming him for “rising corruption and pollution” in the National Capital.

The Congress, earlier this month, released a single-name list, fielding Mahila Congress chief Alka Lamba from Kalkaji to take on Chief Minister Atishi.

Earlier on December 24, the Congress released its second list of 26 candidates, fielding Farhad Suri against AAP’s Manish Sisodia from Jangpura while also giving tickets ex-AAP MLAs Asim Khan and Devender Sehrawat.
