Lucknow: A medical store employee was beaten up by some bike-riding youths following a minor dispute in the PGI police station area, on Monday. The young man, identified as Manish Yadav, 26, suffered serious head injury. His family admitted him to Apex Trauma Center 2 of PGI, where his condition remains critical.
According to information, Yadav works at a medical store outside the PGI gate.
He is originally resident of Raja Mau of Bachhrawa in Rae Bareli district and lives on rent in Ektanagar of the PGI Kotwali area.
He was on his way to Ektangar on foot after closing the shop around 9 pm on Monday. As he reached in front of a hospital near Sabha Kheda, two youths riding a bike hit him. When he protested, the bike riders beat him up and left him bleeding. It was alleged that when the young man ran towards his house, the youths chased him on a bike and attacked him on the head. They fled, threatening to kill him. Yadav was taken to Trauma Center 2, where he is undergoing treatment.
