Central Command commemorated the 53rd anniversary of Vijay Diwas at Smritika War Memorial on Tuesday, honouring the gallantry and sacrifices of soldiers in the 1971 Indo-Pak War. Lt Gen Mukesh Chadha, chief of staff, Central Command, laid a wreath to pay tribute to the martyrs. The commemoration was attended by veterans, NCC cadets, and military personnel and civilians. Maj Vishnu Swarup Sharma, Veer Chakra (Retd), a distinguished war veteran of the 1971 War, also graced the occasion.
LAMP LIGHTING CEREMONY
The lamp lighting ceremony for the 11th batch of BSc nursing students of the College of Nursing, Command Hospital (CC), was solemnised at AMC Centre & College on Tuesday. The ceremonial event marked the beginning of the students' transformative journey from novices to professional nurses over the next four years. Lt Gen Mukesh Chadha, SM, VSM, COS, Headquarters Central Command, and Col Commandant ASC graced the occasion as the chief guest.
