Amritsar: Actor Sunjay Dutt paid obeisance at Golden Temple here on Tuesday. He was accompanied by actress Yami Gautam, director and her husband Aditya Dhar, their son, and other family members. It is learnt that they are here for the shooting of Aditya Dhar’s new film.
In a brief discussion with media, Sanjay Dutt said that Punjab holds a special place for him. He expressed how happy he was to be in Punjab, especially in Amritsar, and mentioned that he received a lot of love from the people here.
Cops warned against reels
Kaithal: Police personnel in Haryana’s Kaithal district have been banned from using their mobile phones during duty hours. In case of an emergency, only the mobile phone of the concerned in-charge will be used.
Kaithal SP Rajesh Kalia said that strict action will be taken against any police officer who makes reels or videos in uniform and posts them on social media. Such acts tarnish the image of the police department, and a complete ban has been imposed on them, he said. If any police officer is found violating this rule, departmental action will be taken against them.
Minor pregnant, youth booked
Hisar: A 15-year-old girl from the district was raped about six months ago, a fact that came to light when her family took her to the hospital due to her deteriorating health.
Medical examination revealed she was six months pregnant. Following this, the family filed a complaint with the police, and a case of rape was registered against the suspect. The police are searching for the youth. The survivor was studying in class 10. The police said a case has been registered on the complaint of the survivor. In the complaint to the police, the survivor claimed that a few months ago, she got acquainted with a young man on Instagram, who claimed to be a resident of Hisar.
