Lucknow: The much-anticipated alumni week at Colvin Taluqdars' College began with enthusiasm on Tuesday. The event brought together alumni, fondly referred to as ‘Old Boys' as well as students to participate in a variety of indoor games, like chess, table tennis and carrom.
The celebration was particularly significant as it highlighted the bond between generations of Colvinians. The main attraction of the event, however, was the 10m rifle shooting range, where students and alumni tested their skills, blending competitive spirit with nostalgia.
Among alumni present was Ravi Kapoor, renowned photographer/artist from the batch of 1980, who said, "My journey of being a photo artist started at Colvin. I come here every year to refresh memories of my school days."
From the 1998 batch, Faisal Wilayet, said, "Those golden days at Colvin shaped not just my education but my character too. The camaraderie, the discipline and the timeless traditions have left an indelible mark on me, reminding me that Colvin is not just a school but a legacy we carry forever."
Rajeev Gupta, of the 1985 batch, said, "Coming back to Colvin Taluqdars' College is like stepping into a time capsule of cherished memories. In our days, the fields echoed with laughter as we played cricket, football and even took to horse riding. Those moments of sportsmanship and friendship comprise the finest chapter of my life."
The event was graced by Union minister of state for forest, environment and climate change and external affairs, Kirti Vardhan Singh, principal of Colvin Taluqdars' College, Sachidanand Singh, principal of the UP Board Wing, Anupama Singh, headmistress Sangeeta Chauhan and college manager Manish Vardhan Singh.
