Cost of consumer goods and services in the Netherlands increased by 4 per cent in November 2024 compared to the previous year, Statistics Netherlands (CBS) reported. This marks a rise from October’s inflation rate of 3.5 per cent.
According to the harmonised index of consumer prices (HICP), inflation stood at 3.8 per cent in November, up from 3.3 per cent in October.
While inflation in the Netherlands has risen, it remains higher than the overall inflation rate for the euro area. The euro area saw inflation increase to 2.3 per cent in November from 2 per cent in October.
