Chatra: Two people died after a car carrying wedding guests to Koderma district rammed a tree in Chatra’s Lawalong late Sunday night, reports Vishvendu Jaipuriar. Local residents assisted in rescuing four injured individuals from the wrecked vehicle. All four were taken to Chatra Sadar Hospital where Rajaram Keshri and Rohit Ganjhu died during treatment. The injured were later referred to Sheikh Bhikhari Medical College and Hospital in Hazaribag.
The driver lost control and hit a tree on Lawalong Road, police said.

Police seized his motorcycle and phone, and are investigating the drug's source and destination. Separately, stolen solar panels were recovered from Jawadohar primary school. Five suspects, including four minors, confessed to the theft.
