Shots fired at a Germantown jewelry store; person of interest in custody
MEMPHIS, Tenn. — Shots were fired during a robbery at a Germantown jewelry store on Monday, Germantown Police confirm.
At approximately 1:00 p.m., GPD officers responded to a robbery at Bob Richards Jewelers, located at 1696 S. Germantown Road.

Police say that a preliminary investigation revealed that suspects occupying two vehicles targeted the business.
One of the vehicles was used to crash into the store’s entrance, allowing the suspects to gain access to the showroom. The suspects were reportedly armed and shots were fired by staff inside the business.
No injuries were reported by staff members.
Later in the day, GPD officers recovered a vehicle involved in the robbery.

They also have one person of interest in custody who is being treated at the hospital for a gunshot wound.
GPD said this remains an active and ongoing investigation.
