Australia had to cope with a depleted bowling attack following Josh Hazlewood’s latest injury in the third Test at the Gabba here on Tuesday.
The speedster suffered a right calf strain and according to a Cricket Australia press release, ‘he will miss the rest of the current Test’.
The statement further added: “He is likely to miss the remainder of the Test series. A squad replacement will be made in due course.”
Hazlewood, who missed the second Test in Adelaide with a side strain, bowled six overs during India’s innings, which included the scalp of Virat Kohli.
