Hazaribag: A state govt delegation conducted inspection at Lok Narayan Jaiprakash Narayan Central Jail on Tuesday and discovered various security breaches within the facility, sources said. The inspection revealed unauthorised usage of 5G phones by inmates, allegedly used to control criminal activities in coal belt regions and neighbouring districts. The inspection team, led by assistant IG (Jail) Hamid Akhtar, accompanied by probationer jail official Malay Singh and others, discovered serious violations. The team also identified malfunctioning CCTV systems.
