Chandigarh: The Punjab vigilance bureau on Monday caught a Punjab State Warehousing Corpration inspector, Amit Kumar Kakkar, posted at Ferozepur, red handed while allegedly accepting a bribe of Rs 45,000. A spokesperson said Kakkar was arrested on a complaint by Mohan Lal, a commission agent from Ferozepur. He said: “The complainant claimed that the inspector had been demanding a bribe for passing the bills pertaining to the labour and sewing charges for purchased paddy bags at Rs 2 per bag, but the deal was settled at Rs 1.30 per bag – amounting to Rs 45,000.” tnn
