Lucknow: Satya Dharam Samvad (SDS), an organisation of Hindu Acharyas, called on like-minded Hindu religious leaders and organisations to reject the divisive ‘Dharam Sansad' by the Yati Narsinghanand Foundation proposed to be held from Tuesday to Saturday at the Shiv-Shakti temple complex in Ghaziabad's Dasna.
In a statement, SDS emphasised the need to promote unity, tolerance, and dialogue, rather than encouraging hatred and division.
Signed by 62 Acharyas, including Swami Raghavendra, Acharya Bajrang, Mahant, Prof. Anantanand Rambachan, Ashok Maharaj Kamble, and Ashok Sangpa, the statement expressed concern over the growing misuse of religion to promote violence and discord.
It affirmed that Hinduism, with its principles of Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam (the world is one family) and Sarva Dharma Sambhava (respect for all religions), always stood for peace, acceptance, and unity.
The signatories voiced distress over actions and statements that undermine these values and sow division. Hinduism rejects caste-based divisions and any form of oppression, emphasising that true spirituality lies in recognising the divine in all beings and fostering mutual respect.
The statement also criticised the upcoming "World Religion Convention" and provocative speeches targeting specific faiths, viewing them as departures from the true spirit of Sanatan Dharma. These actions, the signatories argued, undermine the spiritual sanctity of Hinduism and threaten the nation's harmony. They condemned any words or actions promoting hatred, disrespecting other faiths, or inciting violence, calling them contrary to Hindu values.
Advocating for interfaith understanding and peaceful coexistence, the signatories opposed the exploitation of religion for political or divisive purposes and called for accountability from authorities to prevent such misuse. They appealed for unity, urging Hindus and people of all faiths to come together in kindness and mutual respect, recognising that the strength of the nation lies in its diversity.
