Madhepura: Opposition leader in Assembly, Tejashwi Prasad Yadav, took a jibe at "one nation, one election" bill aimed at conducting simultaneous Lok Sabha and Assembly elections, here on Tuesday.
Reacting to the bill, Tejashwi said this would finally lead to "one nation, one leader".
He was talking to reporters before participating in workers' meet held at Dak Bangalow ground.
He said holding simultaneous Lok Sabha and Assembly elections would be a tough task. In the situation when elections in states are conducted in three to four phases would it be possible to hold simultaneous elections, he questions.
The RJD leader lauded his party's proposal of "Mai Bahin Maan Yojana", under which women would be given Rs 2500 every month, if the party was voted to power.
Earlier the party workers, led by local neta Kumar Chandradeep and district president Jaikant Yadav, welcomed Tejashwi on his arrival at the meeting venue.
