Vadodara: Thousands of women participated in the Queen's Run organised in the city on Sunday night. The city streets were flooded with women wearing pink jerseys running through the old city areas while Barodians cheered them on.
Organised by the Vadodara International Marathon (VIM), the run was flagged off from the Akota-Dandia Bazaar Road in the presence of VIM chairperson Tejal Amin, royal Gaekwad family member Radhikaraje Gaekwad, and Commonwealth Games medallist Lajja Goswami.
The run's aim was to spread the message of women's safety in Vadodara, along with appreciating the police department's role in keeping women safe. Women cops of the She Team also joined in the Queen's Run titled ‘Hamari Daud Hamari Suraksha.'
