Lucknow: CSIR National Botanical Research Institute's two days Chrysanthemum and Coleus show concluded with participants taking home awards for the best bloom of their garden exhibited at the exhibition.
On the final day of the flower show, the NBRI lawn was packed with flower lovers who sought Sunday fun amidst colourful flowers. The closing ceremony of the flower show took place at the open-air theater of the institute.
Chief guest, joint secretary (admin), CSIR, New Delhi, Mahendra Kumar Gupta and divisional railway manager, North-Eastern Railway Aditya Kumar awarded the flower show winners.
The most coveted Director General Trophy (for individuals only), awarded to highest scorer of the show, went to Ranjeeta Agrawal, while second most prestigious Director General Trophy was won by Lt Col Devendra Singh HQ, Central Command, Lucknow Cantt. Director Trophy awarded to an institution was won by CSIR-CIMAP. Over three dozen prizes were given away in different categories to the winners.
