Madhepura: An uncontrolled car crushed to death two members of a family and injured four others at Kamargama village under Singheshwar police station area in Madhepura district late on Saturday evening.
The victims were reportedly sitting around a bonfire outside their hut beside NH-106 when driver of Singheshwar-bound car lost control and crushed to death a child and a woman, besides injuring three children and a woman, all hailing from a family.
People rushed the injured to the JNKT Medical College and Hospital for treatment, where their condition is said to be serious.
The deceased were identified as Geeta Devi, wife of late Bishnudeo Sada, resident of Kamargama village and her relative Anchal Kumari, daughter of Deepak Sada, of Triveniganj in Supaul district. Anchal died on way to the hospital.
The injured people are Rajveer and Balveer—both sons of Ashok Sada of Pipra village; Raushan Kumar, son of Pappu Sada, resident of Saraigadh village in Supaul distrct and Chandika Devi, wife of Amrendra Sada, native of Kamargama village.
The driver of the car was caught and beaten up by the people. He was later taken to the medical college for treatment but he had succeeded to give a slip.

Pawan Kumar Rai, a 40-year-old contractor, was fatally shot in Madhepura district, Bihar, on Wednesday evening. Returning from his work site, Rai was ambushed by six individuals on motorcycles. They forced him out of his vehicle and opened fire, killing him instantly.
