Looking for software to download music and videos from Youtube, the free stuff doesn't always work well. Willing to pay.
 
There isn't any need for a software. Our regular Internet download manger aka IDM auto fetches almost all of the links from Youtube except a few which may be protected.
So either buy IDM or grab a patched version.

Newpipe, for phones and tabs. BTW if you are willing to pay, why don't you get a subscription and use the native app ?

I'm on PC, which native app? Does youtube have an official software that allows downloading?

Use videoder on Android and IDM on PC and you're all set. Videoder is installed via apk as it isn't present in the play store

Find any gui for youtube-dl
Open video downloader GitHub mentioned is good too.
 
TubeMate for android (side load the app) and desktop(web).
 
Look no further than yt-dl if you need to just download them. The current version is not maintained, but works. Look for yt-dlp and other forks. The main issue is poor speeds while downloading, but can be fixed with some python editing.
