Panaji: Dry weather continued to prevail over Goa on Monday, with temperatures showing a noticeable drop.
The India Meteorological Department (IMD) recorded the highest maximum temperature at 34 degrees celsius in Dabolim, while the lowest minimum temperature was 19.4 degrees celsius in Panaji—a one-degree decrease from the 21.4 degree celsius recorded the previous day.
The day temperature in the state capital, however, continues to be high at 33.5 degrees celsius. The temperature drop was more significant in Mormugao, where the minimum temperature fell from 22 degrees celsius on Sunday to 19.4 degrees celsius on Monday.
According to IMD forecast, dry weather is likely to persist across Goa until Dec 22. Additionally, shallow to moderate fog or haze is expected during the morning and evening of Dec 17 and 18. The minimum temperature is expected to dip further to around 20 degrees celsius, signalling colder conditions ahead for the coastal state.
