Nagpur: Gadchiroli police destroyed a dump of explosives and Maoist literature in the Madapalli area. The Maoists had stored explosives and other materials in a plastic drum in the jungle area of Karancha village, which comes under the Madapalli police station. Cops found the dump, containing around 2kg of explosives, three wire bundles, one battery, one detonator, during a search operation.
The police team immediately called in the Bomb Detection and Disposal Squad (BDDS) to defuse the explosives. The BDDS team safely defused the explosives and recovered the materials. The entire operation was carried out without any casualties or injuries to the police personnel.
