Mandya: The 87th Akhila Bharata Kannada Sahitya Sammelana must uphold proper decorum, stated deputy commissioner Kumara. Care must be taken to avoid any lapses in following protocols while honouring dignitaries, guests, awardees, and achievers attending the event.
Speaking at a meeting at the ZP auditorium to discuss protocol arrangements, Kumara emphasised the need for coordination across all committees. He insisted that arrangements such as seating, transportation, meals, and accommodation for dignitaries must be carried out seamlessly.
He highlighted the importance of delivering mementos to awardees appropriately. Task teams should be formed to handle responsibilities efficiently, and dress codes must be adhered to. The use of plastic bottles should be avoided, and proper arrangements for microphones, lighting, and sound must ensure no technical glitches, he said.
The list of awardees and dignitaries must be prepared in advance, and a separate VIP parking area has been arranged for them. Guests must be welcomed and honoured respectfully, avoiding any confusion, he said. Kumara warned that any lapses or complaints would result in appropriate action against those responsible.
The committee tasked with food quality checks must test samples at every stage and submit reports. On-site inspections to ensure quality standards must be conducted, he added.
ZP CEO Sheikh Tanveer Asif stressed the importance of preparing a photo list of awardees and maintaining contact with them. He urged officials to take full responsibility for escorting and seeing off the guests. Officials must approach their tasks with seriousness and diligence, he added.
