Coaching students gathered outside a private hospital
JAIPUR: Ten students fainted inside a coaching centre in Mahesh Nagar on Sunday from a strange odour that caused the students to feel dizzy. The students were rushed to a private hospital, and their condition was later reported to be normal.
The cause of the smell is under investigation, but police suspect that the odour originated from a nearby PG hostel. It is believed that the smell from the hostel passed through the air conditioning system into the coaching centre, leading to the students fainting.
"Students were discharged from the hospital after initial treatment. The situation is normal, and a probe is underway," said an official.
Senior police officials arrived at the scene to inquire about the incident, and one official suggested that the smell might have originated from either the sewage pipe or the kitchen of the hostel, which could have been carried into the air conditioning system.
