Ludhiana: During the first training session for poll parties in Ludhiana, deputy commissioner/district election officer (DEO) Jitendra Jorwal motivated election staff to perform their duties with dedication and integrity.
Polling parties were informed about the election process, their specific responsibilities and ways to handle electronic voting machines (EVMs). He asked election staff to focus on their duties and said that another training session would be organised.
The deputy commissioner also urged political parties and candidates contesting elections to inspect the EVM preparation process on Dec 17 to ensure complete transparency. He added that this initiative aims to uphold the integrity of the electoral process in Ludhiana.
On Dec 17, EVMs will be prepared at Govt College for Girls, Bharat Nagar, Khalsa Girls Senior Secondary School, Khalsa College for Women, Ghumar Mandi, SCD College, KVM School, EVM Warehouse at SRS Polytechnic College, Rishi Nagar, Guru Nanak Public School, Sarabha Nagar, Ludhiana, Green Land Senior Secondary Public School, Ludhiana (GT Road, Jalandhar Bypass), Guru Nanak Dev Polytechnic College (GNE Campus), Ludhiana, S. Kuldeep Singh Sekhon Auditorium, GTB National College, Dakha etc.
Jorwal also visited strong rooms for Electronic Voting Machines (EVMs) on Sunday .
