Mangaluru: Mangalore University (MU) will organise a two day international conference on ‘Responsible Artificial Intelligence (ICRAI 2024)' from Dec 16. This conference is organised under the MoU signed between MU and Cardiff Metropolitan University, UK, as part of the Karnataka Wales Partnership Programme.
There are six keynote speakers and 30 research papers to be presented at the conference. Keynote speakers are Jiaxiang Zhang from Swansea University, UK; Mike Edwards from British Standards Institute, UK; Dr UC Niranjan from Manipal; and Srikant Shenoy, co-founder of Coach Buddy AI, among others. There are six papers from abroad and 23 papers from across India to be presented during the conference.
The conference will be inaugurated by SR Niranjana, vice-chairman of the Karnataka State Higher Education Council, Bengaluru, and will be presided over by PL Dharma, vice-chancellor of MU. Principal and faculty from cluster colleges will be present.
MU has collaborated with Cardiff Metropolitan University, UK, to create a cluster of higher educational institutions to conduct studies and carry out research studies and collaborative projects to prevent the misuse of AI technology and promote the safe, secure, and responsible use of AI technology. This collaboration is called REACHED, which stands for Responsible AI Cluster for Higher Education in India and Wales. The cluster aims to carry out research studies in the areas of AI and Cyber Security.
