Kanpur: A tragic incident occurred at Govindpuri railway station when a woman from Datia (Madhya Pradesh) attempted to disembark from a moving train while carrying her child. The woman sustained injuries from the fall, and tragically, her child fell beneath the train's wheels, resulting in immediate death.
According to Ravi, a Barra-2 resident, his sister-in-law Shashiprabha was married to Kamlesh Tiwari, a loader driver from Budhauda village in Datia, Madhya Pradesh. The couple had two children--Bhavishya (10) and Harsh (4).
Following the death of her father recently, Shashiprabha was travelling to her parental home in Barra-2 with her son Harsh on the Gwalior-Barauni Express.
On Saturday evening, as the train approached Govindpuri station, passengers began disembarking at the outer area. Shashiprabha also attempted to alight from the moving train.
Unfortunately, she lost her balance, causing her son Harsh to slip from her grasp and fall under the train's wheels, resulting in his instant death. Shashiprabha sustained serious injuries.
The Government Railway Police (GRP) promptly hospitalised Shashiprabha and sent the child's body for post-mortem examination. On Sunday, after the post-mortem, the GRP handed over the child's body to his family.
