Varanasi: A 10-day art exhibition organised by the Faculty of Visual Arts, BHU began on Friday.
The exhibition is curated by Prof Chawky Frenn from George Mason University, USA. Prof Frenn is a Fulbright US scholar who was interacting with the students of the painting department for the last three months.
The exhibition was inaugurated by Prof Sanjay Kumar, coordinator of the Malviya Moolya Anusheelan Kendra, and Prof Manoj Kumar Mishra, head of the Center of Peace Research, Faculty of Social Science. The exhibition, showcasing the artworks of 27 students and three professors of the Faculty of Visual Arts, is a pictorial culmination of this artistic and cultural interaction. Prof Manish Arora, officiating dean of the Faculty of Visual Arts, said that this exhibition represents the culmination of dedicated artistic practice, research, and collaboration, aimed at amplifying individual voices on local and global issues related to peace.
