Agartala: Tripura ranks first among Group-4 states in the National Energy Conservation Award 2024 for achieving efficient energy management milestones through sustainable practices.
Power minister Ratan Lal Nath said, "Tripura State Electricity Corporation Ltd (TSECL) remains steadfast in its commitment to fostering awareness about energy conservation and implementing innovative strategies to ensure a greener and sustainable future."
The recognition highlights the remarkable efforts by the Bureau of Energy Efficiency, Tripura, in promoting energy efficiency and conservation across the state, aligning with India's broader objectives to reduce energy consumption and protect the environment.
The National Energy Conservation Awards, constituted by the Bureau of Energy Efficiency (BEE) under the ministry of power, has been recognising exceptional achievements in energy conservation since 1991.
