Bengaluru: A rider allegedly attacked BMTC bus staff after their electric vehicle collided with her scooter, on which she was travelling with her two children. The confrontation took place near Sumanahalli Bridge at approximately 2.30pm Saturday.
According to BMTC's official statement, the incident occurred when the EV bus, operated by driver Ambarish and conductor Yogesh, hit a scooter from behind near Sumanahalli Bridge. The collision, described as ‘minor', caused the woman to lose her balance and fall, resulting in a slight injury to her left hand. Following this, the woman became confrontational with the driver and reportedly assaulted.
The situation escalated when she summoned local residents and family members, leading to additional disputes. During this time, she allegedly attacked the driver once more. BMTC reported the incident to Kamakshipalya Police Station and filed a complaint. The organisation stated that the driver received medical treatment at a hospital. | TNN
