Amravati: BJP leader and former Amravati MP Navneet Rana launched a scathing attack on Shiv Sena (UBT) chief Uddhav Thackeray who had questioned Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Maharashtra chief minister Devendra Fadnavis over their approach to Hindutva.
During a press conference, Thackeray said, "Hindu temples are being destroyed in Bangladesh, and Hindus are facing atrocities. Meanwhile, in Mumbai, an 80-year-old Hanuman temple built on railway land is being served a demolition notice by the BJP. Is this their version of Hindutva, or is it the election-centric Hindutva limited to mere slogans?"
Thackeray's remarks invited a sharp rebuttal from Navneet Rana. She said, "Uddhav Thackeray has no right to teach us Hindutva. Those who abandoned Hindutva for power and started loving other flags, including those resembling Pakistan's emblem, cannot lecture us on Hindutva."
Rana further criticized Thackeray, stating, "As CM, he opposed Hanuman Chalisa and jailed those who recited it under charges of sedition. Now, the same Uddhav Thackeray is trying to speak about Hindutva. For someone who used Hindutva solely for political gain, teaching us about it is laughable. He has no standing to comment on a national leader like PM Narendra Modi."
