Kanpur: A total of 2,11,557 cases were disposed of in National Lok Adalat, and a sum of Rs 30,31,09,200 was provided to the litigants.
According to Shubhi Gupta, additional district and sessions judge and secretary, District Legal Services Authority (DLSA), approximately 61,816 cases were settled by the judicial officials of Kanpur Nagar, and a sum of Rs 24,72,28,643 was realised/provided to the litigants. The administrative officials additionally disposed of 1,48,910 cases.
Banks and telecom companies settled approximately 821 cases and realised a sum of Rs 5,58,80,557.
The secretary informed that Motor Accident Tribunal (North) settled 228 cases, Family Courts decided 29 cases, Special Judicial Magistrate Kanpur Nagar disposed of 2,288 cases, and Chief Judicial Magistrate disposed of approximately 30,768 cases. Earlier in the morning, Pradeep Kumar Singh II, district judge Kanpur Nagar and President of DLSA, inaugurated the National Lok Adalat. Judicial officials and office-bearers of Kanpur Bar Association were present on this occasion.
