Varanasi: YouTuber, Abhishek Singh, and an unidentified person were booked under BNS sections 115(2), 352, 351(2) and the IT Act for beating a sadhu and posting a video of the abuse on a social media platform.
According to reports, the sadhu, Radheshyam alias Babaji, a resident of Shukulpura locality under Bhelupur police station area, lodged a complaint that he was thrashed by Abhishek, a resident of Khojwa locality, and his aide on the night of Dec 9.
The police lodged an FIR against Abhishek and his aide under sections 115(2) (voluntarily causing hurt to another person), 352 (intentional insult with the intent to provoke a breach of peace), and 351(2) (criminal intimidation) of BNS and section 66E of the IT Act. Search for the accused is on, said police.
