Jaipur: Countering the state Congress' apprehensions about converting the investment proposals into projects on the ground, CM Bhajan Lal Sharma said on Wednesday, his govt will release a report card of the achievements exactly after one year, on Dec 11, 2025. Sharma also announced the govt will again organise the investment summit after two years, in the third year of its tenure in 2026. In the run-up to the RR Global Investment Summit, the state govt signed investment MoUs of a record Rs 35 lakh crore during roadshows in the country, overseas, and in the districts of the state.
Addressing the business community on the last day of the summit, Sharma said, "We will review the progress of the MoUs on the ground next Dec, exactly after one year, and inform the public of its status."
Speaking about the road ahead, deputy CM Diya Kumari said the three-day summit may have ended, but the govt entered the phase of a new beginning of making Rajasthan a leading state in the country for economic development.
Touching upon a few policy decisions taken by his govt to make Rajasthan industrially progressive, CM Sharma said they made many policy changes to encourage industries. "More than Rs 1,200 crore was approved for setting up 11 industrial areas in the state, and land allotment to five new areas is under process. Besides, 10 new policies were introduced to encourage investment in the state."
He highlighted the govt's priority to take the rich cultural heritage of Rajasthan to the global stage and also committed to doubling the number of GI tags in the next three years. Speaking about the power of MSMEs, Sharma said that micro, small, and medium industries are the backbone of the state's industrial structure. "MSMEs are contributing about 25% to the GSDP of Rajasthan. The sector is not only playing an important role in exports but also helping in the inclusive economic development of the state by creating employment opportunities," he added.
