NEW DELHI: A five-year-old boy died after being trapped in a 150-feet borewell in Dausa, Rajasthan. Officials conducted an extensive rescue mission spanning more than three days.
The incident occurred on December 9 when the child accidentally fell into the deep borewell whilst playing. Rescue teams immediately initiated efforts to save him.

Upon retrieval on Wednesday night, the unconscious child was immediately transported to hospital, where medical staff confirmed his death.
The Dausa chief medical officer confirmed that despite several resuscitation attempts, they were unable to save the child's life.
"The child was brought here so that we could try and revive him if possible...we did ECG twice and the child has been declared dead," said Dausa CMO.
