Mysuru: State BJP OBC Morcha president Raghu Kautilya on Thursday criticised the state govt's decision to delay releasing grants to various community boards and development corporations.
He accused chief minister Siddaramaiah of not releasing grants for various backward classes community development corporations. The distribution of loans to beneficiaries and other development works has come to a grinding halt in all development corporations due to the delay, he stated.
"Former CM Basavaraj Bommai released Rs 540 crore to various development corporations, but CM Siddaramaiah released just Rs 170 crore in grants. The state govt released just Rs 2 crore to the Savitha Samaj Development Corporation, one of the microscopic backward communities involved in hairdressing and running salons," he said.
Condemning the delay, BJP OBC Morcha activists will hold a protest outside the offices of deputy commissioners in all district headquarters, including Mysuru, on Friday, he said. In Mysuru, the protest will be held in Gandhi Square.
