Patna: The Bettiah police on Thursday solved a double murder case within 24 hours, arresting three accused in connection with the crime. The accused, identified as Anand Kumar, Abhishek Kumar and Munna Khan, were taken into custody late Wednesday night. They were involved in stabbing two young persons, Munna Kumar (20) and Jaiprakash Kumar (21), at Shanti Chowk in the Mufassil police station area of West Champaran on Wednesday evening. Sadar SDPO-1, Vivek Deep, said, "The accused and the deceased were friends. They organised a chicken and liquor party at a private place in the Shanti Chowk area. They quarrelled among themselves after the party, which turned fatal, leading to the murder."
