Dashcam video captures deadly shooting in Seattle's Lake City neighborhood

SEATTLE - Police are investigating a deadly shooting in North Seattle that occurred Wednesday evening.

According to authorities, the shooting happened around 6 p.m. near 33rd Ave NE and NE 120th St, in Seattle's Lake City neighborhood.

Dashcam video of the incident shows the moments leading up to and after the shooting.

The video shows some kind of fight break out, and Kelly Lockhart, who was parking her car, asked a silver sedan to move.

The driver opens the door, and the fight on the sidewalk spills into the street.

At one point, the group starts yelling, and that's when a woman is shot and falls to the ground.

"My dashcam was rolling and I ended up ducking behind my engine when I heard the ‘pop, pop, pop,’" Lockhart said.

One man was killed and a woman was hurt in the shooting.

Police say they took the woman into custody, as they believe she and the man who died had assaulted the person who shot them.

Police say they have not been able to track down the shooter. Anyone with information is asked to contact Seattle Police.
