Chennai: Police on Tuesday arrested three more people, including two students, in connection with the rape of a college girl with intellectual disabilities in Chennai.
The arrested were identified as Karthik of Arakkonam, Mani alias Subramani of Ambattur and Ajith Kumar of Ramanathapuram. The three were produced before a magistrate court in the city, and were remanded in judicial custody.
The issue came to light when the girl's father found obscene material on his daughter's phone. When he asked her, she told him that a few men had raped her over a period of time. He filed a complaint at the Chintadripet police station, following which the arrests were made.
