Itanagar: A body was found in a pit below the flyover under construction near ABC trijunction in Naharlagun Wednesday, police said.
The deceased was identified by police as Jangbir Biswakarma (45), a resident of Boginadi in Assam's Lakhimpur district.
SP (Naharlagun) Mihin Gambo said the body was taken to the Tomo Riba Institute of Health and Medical Sciences, Nahalagun for post-mortem.
An unknown death case under Section 194 BNSS has been registered at Naharlagun police station and investigation launched, he added.
