Dr. Ajay Nagabhushan, IAS, Principal Secretary of Cooperation for the Government of Karnataka, visited the Karnataka State Souharda Federal Cooperative Limited (KSSFCL) to review its operations and discuss the progress of the Souharda cooperative movement.
During his visit, Dr. Nagabhushan expressed his appreciation for the functioning of KSSFCL and Souharda Cooperatives in Karnataka, emphasizing their potential for greater growth. He encouraged regular consultations between Souharda cooperatives and officials from the Department of Cooperation for better guidance and support.
A KSSFCL press release reads “Dr. Nagabhushan provided valuable suggestions to enhance the professionalism, transparency, and financial discipline of Souharda Cooperatives. He recommended the adoption of modern technology in Souharda cooperative courts and offices to streamline operations and improve efficiency. Additionally, he stressed the importance of maintaining quality in credit disbursement and urged cooperatives to explore value-added services for their members.”
The visit was attended by several dignitaries, including the Registrar of Cooperative Societies. The meeting began with a warm welcome by Sharanagouda G. Patil, Managing Director of KSSFCL, who delivered a detailed PowerPoint presentation highlighting the organization’s activities and achievements.
