Nagpur: The 7th edition of the Smart India Hackathon (SIH) will concurrently begin on December 11 at 51 centres nationwide. Union education minister Dharmendra Pradhan, will virtually inaugurate the event. GH Raisoni College of Engineering (GHRCE), Nagpur, is selected as one of the nodal centres to facilitate the SIH software edition.
Total 20 teams having 120+ participants will compete against four problem statements. Each problem statement will have a Rs 1 lakh prizemoney. The programme will be inaugurated at GHRCE by chief cuest Dr Rizwan Ahmed, CTO, DelaPlex in the presence of guest of honor Shiv Soni, senior technical architect, Infosys. Sunil Raisoni, chairman of Raisoni Education, will preside over the event.
Director of GHRCE Sachin Untawale, Santosh Jaju, deputy director & dean R&D and SPOC(SIH), Dinesh Padole SPOC (SIH), Mayur Borkar, nodal centre head from AICTE, and Lalit Mohan Sanagavarpu, chief product officer, Quick Heal, will also grace the event. The institutional inauguration will start at 8am followed by central inauguration by the ministry of education at 9am on Dec 11.
